WE HELP BRIDGE THE CULTURAL GAP While the people of the United States and the Turks may grow up in vastly different circumstances, the reality is that the things we have in common far outnumber the things that keep us apart. We help to see the best in one another. Regognizing ourselves in those we work with, we bridge the cultural divide and create a safe and friendly work environment.

Formerly Constantinople, the city is both in Europe and Asia and crosses the Bosporus. There are large corporations operating from the Levent Business District and other area locations. Many international businesses call it home and use it as a jumping off point for relations between Europe and Asia.
The largest city by area and the second largest by population, Ankara is a hub for exciting activity for both government and business. There is no shortage of educational institutions providing people quite capable of handling jobs that become available.
Considered by some as the tourism capital of Turkey, there is no shortage of exciting and interesting things to see. Corendon Airlines and SunExpress call it home.
Bursa is a major hub of activity for the automotive industry. Several major players are in the city for manufacture and there are many other players that work on parts manufacture. Coke and Pepsi both have influence here for their drinks and food products.
İzmir is the third largest city in terms of population in Turkey and has a history crossing millenia as easily as others cross decades. A major port on the Aegean Sea, there is no shotage of commercial prospects here.
Americans hear Batman and think of the movies. That may be part of why it is included here. The reality is also that it is a producer of oil and that drives much of the economy here.
There is a whole shoe thing where you are not to point them at people and should not cross your legs. Do not refer to Turks as Arabs. It is simply not accurate, and thus, offensive!
This includes disrespecting the current political environment, the founding fathers, dangers within Turkey or internal conflicts with minorities. These are all sensitive topics are are unlikely to provide useful conversations.
It just isn't a thing. You can offer to pay the whole check, but don't fight over it. A better choice is to offer to pay the next time. Whoever invited everyone out is the host, and thus, usually pays. So invite them out the next time to make up for it.
Dress fairly conservatively. The locals may dress a little racy but you are better off taking the conservative approach as being a westerner may impact how you are viewed more than a Turk might.
